Record number of bids received for FE and Skills funding programme
JISC Advance is delighted to have received 245 bids for its FE and Skills Development and Resources Programme, with over half of these bids being submitted on the last day.
Whilst this is fantastic news, due to the late surge of bids it unfortunately means that there will be a delay in completing the marking and we apologise for this.
We have been delighted by the response from providers across the sector and wish to ensure that each bid receives the same attention as any other. As a result the timescale for project start and completion has been updated:
- Small projects (up to £50,000) will run for six
months with a start from September 2012 to January 2013
- Large projects (over £50,000) will start from
September 2012 and must complete by the end of October 2013, depending on the
original timescale and the circumstances of individual bidders, within these
limits.
We hope that this will not create too much disruption to project plans. We will produce a weekly update on our wiki site to inform the sector of progress - go to http://bit.ly/fes-drp
We have been impressed by the range and scope of the submissions we have received and we are confident that each one will make a significant contribution to developing the use of technology in the sector.
